Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time, Band 6 role within our Adults Community Mental Health Team (CMHT). This team supports individuals with severe mental health problems across the Vale Royal area, including Northwich and Winsford.

We are looking for a qualified mental health nurse, social worker or occupational therapist (OT). Ideally, candidates will have experience working in a CMHT or with people who have severe mental health difficulties.

About the Team

Our multidisciplinary team includes Consultant Psychiatrists, CBT Therapists, Psychologists, Mental Health Nurses, Pharmacists, Social Workers, OT, OTTI and Support Workers.

Key Details
  • Post: Band 6 Adult CMHT
  • Employment: Full‑time, 37.5 hours per week
  • Location: Vale Royal area (Northwich, Winsford)
Key Responsibilities

The post holder will work autonomously within a multi‑disciplinary framework, undertaking:

  • Assessments, duty and coordination of care for patients with severe mental health problems
  • Maintenance of a caseload, including ongoing assessment, formulation of care planning, risk assessments and key working
  • Completion of reviews and delivery of interventions to improve wellbeing and outcomes for individuals and their families, signposting to other agencies as necessary
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, report writing and assessment skills are essential
Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should have a sound working knowledge of mental health disorders and the Mental Health Act. Experience working with people with severe mental health difficulties, particularly within a CMHT, is highly desirable.

Support & Development

We offer a thorough induction period that includes shadowing established team members. Supervision and training are mandatory, with wider training and personal development readily available. Access to transport for work purposes is essential.
