Job summary

Overview

If you are a nurse or midwife and want to play your part in delivering immunisations to the communities of Suffolk and North East Essex, consider joining our friendly team.

We are looking for clinicians who can work flexibly, have excellent communication skills, enjoy working with a wide range of communities and individuals, and are passionate about promoting the health of others.

Responsibilities
  • Work independently and in a team delivering a wide range of vaccinations to all age ranges.
  • Deliver services in schools, community clinics, and other venues.
  • Provide assessment and review of missed vaccinations and review vaccination histories for those not vaccinated according to the English Schedule.
  • Collect accurate data at each session.
  • Plan and deliver immunisation programmes across communities to achieve KPIs.
  • Collaborate with local statutory, private, and voluntary providers to develop accessible and responsive services for all sections of the community, focusing on vulnerable groups.
  • Promote and monitor safe and effective practice.
  • Provide and promote access to information and other services, referring as appropriate; liaise with statutory and non‑statutory agencies and other health services colleagues.
  • Provide health promotion/education in line with the Immunisation programme.
  • Adhere to current Local Safeguarding Board and Child Protection procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Registered nurse or midwife.
  • Previous experience of delivering vaccinations is useful, but full training and induction will be offered.
  • Full, valid driving licence and access to a car for business purposes (unless a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010 applies).
  • Willingness to work some weekend and evening shifts across Suffolk and North East Essex.
