Job description
About the role

We have an opportunity to join the Corporate Affairs team as our Local Action Coordinator. This role plays an important role in helping our communities understand our Environment strategy through impactful communications, events and engagement activities. Overall, this will ensure we leave a lasting and positive impression with our communities.

About you

If you have a background in external communications or hands-on experience working in community-focused environmental roles, we’d love to hear from you.

You’ll be comfortable delivering events, acting as an ambassador for your organisation. This includes driving meaningful engagement and building strong relationships. Therefore, you’ll use your previous experience working with stakeholders like local councillors and customers.

You’ll be experienced translating complex information into an easy-to-understand format across digital and transitional platforms. Previous experience in digital media, photography or video would be valuable.

Whilst you’ll be part of the wider corporate affairs team, you’ll be confident in both group and individual environments, tailoring your communication depending on your audience.

This is a fast-paced team, requiring the successful candidate to manage competing priorities whilst maintaining a positive approach. This means you’ll use your organisation skills to ensure the success of the Local Action Campaign.

It would be valuable if you had an interest in the environment and passion about supporting our vision and purpose.

Interviews will take place online / in person week commencing 5th January 2026
