A leading utility company in the UK is seeking a Community Communications Officer for a 12-month fixed term contract. This role involves managing customer engagement and stakeholder communications while ensuring a proactive approach to local issues like water quality. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and customer management skills, a Full UK Driving License, and a willingness to travel. We're looking for a dynamic Community Communications Officer to join the team on a 12 month fixed term contract. You will be proactive in their engagement with customers and key stakeholders whilst utilising a range of communication and engagement channels. Working as a subject matter expert within Warwickshire you'll help manage all the customer and stakeholder communication, comms channels and day-to-day customer engagement. Focus on building a picture of localised issues our customers face such as bursts, water quality and flooding and how our capital programme will help to mitigate them. You'll also be working closely with our Community Fund and Education programme teams as well as our wider Comms family. Your key accountabilities in helping us will be:
You’ll come to Severn Trent with demonstratable communications and stakeholder experience as well as previous experience of managing customer communication channels. You'll have strong influencing and customer management skills as well as a customer‑centric thinking and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Due to the location of the planned projects it is essential for you to hold a Full UK Driving License and have both the ability and willingness to travel across our region on a regular basis.
