A local council organization in Atherstone is looking for a Communities Officer to support local communities and partnerships. The role emphasizes project management, funding, and a passion for community engagement. It offers hybrid working and requires flexibility in working hours. £37,280 to £39,152 per annum
37 hours per week
Fixed-term contract for six months, with possible extension.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Communities Team at North Warwickshire Borough Council as a Communities Officer.
We are looking for a passionate, outgoing individual to work with colleagues, partners and local people to support local communities.
The role is varied and will benefit from someone who is flexible and innovative, seeking ways to work with local communities. It will require someone who has experience in project management, funding, and a passion for working with people.
Our Communities Section has an excellent reputation supporting local communities through events, working with town centre partnerships, supporting local sports clubs, engaging local partners, and improving green spaces and play areas. We are looking for someone who will work with the Team and continue to progress work within our communities.
This role offers an opportunity for hybrid working, and the successful candidate will be expected to be flexible, occasionally working evenings and weekends as required.
Appointment to this post will be conditional upon receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of criminal records via the Disclosure and Barring Service, before the appointment is confirmed. A Basic check will be required. This will contain details of convictions and conditional cautions considered to be ‘unspent’ under the terms of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
