A leading mental health charity in Bradford seeks a Communications and Engagement Manager to enhance awareness of their services. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in communications, strong organisational skills, and excellent written communication abilities. Healthy Minds is one of the key areas for Bradford District and Craven Health and Care Partnership ( ). The place-based partnership has an ethos where we Act As One to help people live happy healthy at home. This drives the work of Healthy Minds aiming to achieve better lives and improve the support we offer to people with mental health substance use needs learning disabilities or are neurodiverse.
Partnership working between statutory and voluntary sector organisations has seen initiatives like the Healthy Minds website ( ) created to support a growing number of people each year. The website supports people to find and access mental health support at a time and place to suit them.
Bradford District and Craven Mind is the lead provider of the Healthy Minds website and this role will be key to its successful ongoing development and engagement activities alongside supporting the promotion of the wider Healthy Minds collection of mental health services.
Working closely with the Head of Communications and Engagement and Communications and Engagement Manager for Healthy Minds in the NHS you will raise awareness of Healthy Minds website, lead on social media platforms, develop accessible communication resources, work with system partners to help the people of Bradford District and Craven to find and access the right mental health support for their needs.
Communicate, establish and maintain constructive relationships with a broad spectrum of key stakeholders gaining their cooperation to support successful delivery of Healthy Minds areas of work i.e. Healthy Minds website, community mental health transformation and health checks for people with severe mental illness.
Produce content for a range of channels including press releases, internal bulletins, newsletters and website.
Lead on the Healthy Minds social media platforms, this includes creating and scheduling content and developing bi-monthly reports to help plan future activity.
Coordinate communications activity and events; setting tasks timeframes and adjusting plans as needed. This will involve communicating with health and care providers.
Leading on the ongoing technical development of the Healthy Minds website with support of our external development partners.
Effectively managing and reporting on the operational communications budget relating to Healthy Minds. You will be expected to manage supplier relationships e.g. design agencies and printers.
Producing updates and reports on website operations usage and engagement levels. You will manage website sub-groups and ensuring robust decision making and quality assurance processes are maintained and enhanced.
Leading on insight-led campaigns working with system partners on the promotion of the Healthy Minds website.
Involve partners internal and external to co-design communication resources (that are accessible and suit diverse audiences) to demonstrate our commitment to a person-centred approach.
Collaborate with teams across our system and build trust and credibility with our population as well as working across organisation boundaries.
Support the wider team communications and engagement efforts through collaborative team working.
Fully participating in all relevant training to develop and maintain your performance in the role.

Performing other duties as reasonably required within the role.

Understanding of mental health and its impact on individuals.
An understanding of the voluntary and community sector and mental health organisations within Bradford District & Craven.
