Main Purpose of role
The Commissioning and Asset Adoption Manager will lead the asset adoption process on multiple district heating and cooling projects across the London Region. The assets vary from energy centres with air source heat pumps, storage, pumping & distribution systems, water treatment, and control systems to risers, laterals, HIUs, and meters. The role involves verifying assets during installation and commissioning to ensure they meet quality, safety, and operational standards.
The role is involved from early project stages, influencing design and construction plans to facilitate successful commissioning and asset handover. You will develop procedures for adopting new heating and cooling assets and networks from external developers and internal teams.
The position requires onsite presence and office work, including reviewing commissioning plans, developing handover plans, witnessing commissioning activities, and supporting technical processes.
You will report to the Head of Delivery and Operations, working with internal teams and external service providers, contractors, and developers. Your responsibilities include evaluating operational networks, reviewing procedures, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives. You may also contribute to maintenance and lifecycle strategies and support district heating and cooling asset operations.
Occasionally, you will act as Lead Receiver Representative (LRR) for projects managed by Vattenfall’s in-house team, ensuring smooth handovers and task execution.
