About the Company

This branded, science-led food business is ready for scale-up. We need a Technical Operations Manager to help get them there.

Location and Retail Presence

Branded retail outlets are established in key locations in London and the South. The company is expanding, with interest from retailers like Selfridges, Tesco, and Sainsbury’s. The plan includes partnering with a third-party co-packer to meet national demand.

Role Overview

You will be the main technical person on site, influencing best practices, shaping future strategy, and becoming a valued member of the senior team.

Responsibilities

• Manage technical aspects of third-party manufacturers and co-packers.
• Conduct supplier audits and manage risks.
• Guide new product launches from concept to test production.

The environment is fast-paced with changing priorities, requiring decisive attention to critical issues.

Candidate Profile

We seek someone with a genuine interest in food science innovation, holding a food science/technology degree or equivalent, with 2-3 years’ experience in food manufacturing. Experience in the bakery sector is a plus.
