Role Overview

In a Nutshell…

We have an exciting opportunity for an Adoptions Manager to join our team within Vistry Southern, at our Basingstoke office in Hampshire. As our Adoptions Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring the timely, cost-efficient adoption of completed estate roads, sewers, pumping stations, and public open spaces. You will collaborate with Engineers/Engineering Managers to develop technical agreements during build stages and work with Build and Commercial teams towards project completion, ensuring timely sign-offs and minimizing errors and barriers to adoption/hand-over.

You will also manage company and technical project bonds, sectional agreement trackers, and report on outstanding bonds and overrun costs.

  • Civil Engineering qualification (Degree, HND, or HNC)

  • Coordinate with Build & Commercial Departments for sign-off and handover
  • Attend sites during infrastructure works to monitor quality and address issues
  • Ensure submission and approval of surveys and compliance documents
  • Respond to Road Safety Audits for sign-off
  • Work with engineering teams to facilitate infrastructure agreements and deeds
  • Investigate barriers to adoption and pursue solutions
  • Assist in preparing Adoption Plans, Deed Plans, and statutory processes
  • Manage external consultants and oversee their performance and costs
  • Develop pre-construction costs
  • Maintain professional relationships with authorities and management bodies
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and the Commercial Department
  • Manage utility works and installations for adoptions
  • Arrange and oversee site inspections and remedial works
  • Keep updated on highways and drainage procedures and codes
