Job summary

Parkdean Resorts is seeking a committed Commis Chef to join our energetic kitchen team. You will support the creation of dishes guests love, keep your station clean, and assist with prep and stock management in a busy environment.

Ideal candidates have a passion for great food, the ability to work under pressure, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays. A Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in high volume food preparation and cooking.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a busy kitchen.
• Passion for producing great food and guest experiences.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present dishes to company specifications and maintain high standards.
• Keep your section and the wider kitchen clean, tidy and hygienic.
• Check and record food temperatures following company processes.
• Complete food prep before and during service and restock as needed.
• Support portion control and minimise food waste to maximise profit.
• Receive, check and store deliveries and rotate stock per guidelines.
• Communicate clearly with the kitchen team to support a positive environment.
• Follow health and safety procedures including allergen policies and incident reporting.
• Complete deep clean tasks as directed by Head Chef.
