Job summary

Parkdean Resorts is seeking a Commis Chef to join our energetic kitchen team. If you’re passionate about food and keen to develop your skills in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment, this role offers hands-on experience across our 65 parks across the UK.

You’ll work under a Head Chef, contribute to high-standard dishes, maintain kitchen hygiene, and support the team during service. Flexibility to cover evenings, weekends, and bank holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume food preparation and cooking.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a busy kitchen.
• Passion for producing great food and delivering memorable guest experiences.
• Flexible to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present dishes to company specifications, maintaining standards.
• Keep your section and the wider kitchen clean, tidy, and hygienic throughout service.
• Check and record food temperatures accurately, following company processes.
• Complete food prep before and during service, and restock as needed.
• Support portion control and minimise food waste to maximise profit.
• Receive, check, and store deliveries safely, following stock rotation and food safety guidelines.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with the whole kitchen team to support a positive working environment.
• Follow all health & safety procedures including allergen policies, hygiene standards, correct equipment use, and incident reporting.
• Complete deep clean tasks as directed by the Head Chef.
