Job summary

Parkdean Resorts UK Limited is hiring a Commis Chef for our vibrant kitchens across the UK parks. You will assist with high-volume cooking, maintain cleanliness, and support food safety and portion control while delivering guest-focused meals in a dynamic environment.

The role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays. A Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification is preferred, with training available to help you grow within the Parkdean team.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume food preparation and cooking (preferred but not essential).
• Ability to work well under pressure in a busy kitchen environment.
• Passion for producing great food and delivering unforgettable guest experiences.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present dishes to company specifications, maintaining high standards of cookery and service.
• Keep your section and the wider kitchen clean, tidy, and hygienic during service.
• Check and record food temperatures, following company processes.
• Complete food prep before and during service, restock as needed.
• Support portion control and minimise food waste to maximise profit.
• Receive, check, and store deliveries safely with proper stock rotation and food safety guidelines.
• Communicate clearly with the kitchen team to support a positive working environment.
• Follow health and safety procedures including allergen policies and incident reporting.
• Complete deep-clean tasks as directed by the Head Chef.
