Job summary

Parkdean Resorts is seeking a Commis Chef to join our energetic kitchen team across our UK parks. You will help prepare and present dishes, maintain hygiene and assist with stock, waste reduction and deliveries.

Ideal candidates bring experience in fast-paced kitchens, perform well under pressure and have a passion for great food that creates memorable guest experiences. Flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays, are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume food preparation and cooking.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a busy kitchen.
• Passion for producing great food and delivering guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and presenting dishes to company specifications, maintaining standards.
• Keeping your section and the wider kitchen clean, tidy, and hygienic during service.
• Checking and recording food temperatures accurately, following processes.
• Completing food prep before and during service, restocking as needed.
• Supporting portion control and minimising food waste to maximise profit.
• Receiving, checking, and storing deliveries safely, following stock rotation and food safety guidelines.
• Communicating clearly with the kitchen team to support a positive working environment.
• Following health & safety procedures including allergen policies and hygiene standards.
• Completing deep-clean tasks as directed by the Head Chef.
