Commercial Property Associate – 6-Month Fixed Term Contract

Our client, a leading Top 100 London law firm, is seeking a skilled Commercial Property Solicitor to join their Real Estate department on a 6-month fixed term contract.

The firm’s Real Estate practice offers comprehensive property-related legal services, supporting a broad spectrum of clients including those in the retail, hospitality, investment, and development sectors. The Commercial Property team advises on a wide range of non-contentious matters such as acquisitions and disposals, development projects, portfolio management, and landlord and tenant issues.

Recent work includes:

  • Site acquisitions for residential and student accommodation developments
  • Advising on the expansion of national and international retail and leisure businesses
  • Supporting investment funds with commercial property acquisitions
  • Refinancing of property portfolios across various asset classes
The Role

You will work closely with senior fee earners, contributing to a variety of matters with scope for matter ownership from the outset.

Responsibilities
  • Drafting and reviewing Options, Promotion Agreements, and Overage Agreements
  • Managing site acquisitions conditional on planning
  • Handling new and renewal leases
  • Assisting with Certificates of Title
  • Advising on commercial acquisitions and disposals
  • Reviewing Heads of Terms, contracts, and title documentation
  • Managing enquiries, searches, and post-completion tasks
  • Liaising with clients, solicitors, and internal stakeholders
  • Maintaining client matter schedules
  • Participating in business development and CPD activities
About You
  • Qualified Solicitor with 5+ PQE in real estate development and commercial property transactions
  • A genuine interest in real estate law and the work undertaken by the team
