Commercial Manager – Sponsorship (Conference Background)

Remote – UK

Base Up to 55,000+ OTE £100k

Key responsibilities:

• Sales strategy and operations: To review and implement a structured sales strategy and approaches that support sales performance, and that is reproducible across a sales team as the business grows.
• Sales management: To personally deliver on sales KPIs related to sales activity, sales revenue, and account management.
• Product conception and delivery: To represent our clients in internal discussions, strengthening the commercial performance of our products.
• Direct sales: To personally lead sales campaigns.
• Client management: To manage or oversee the management of key accounts and ensure objectives are documented and managed. Oversee client rebook meetings.
• Commercial analysis: To analyze vendor marketplaces, categorize companies, and research new sales leads.
• Sales marketing: To work with production, content, and marketing teams to design and implement sales strategies leveraging business intelligence.

Candidate Profile:

• Experience: 5+ years in a commercial role at a B2B events/media business, with experience in high-value solution sales.
• Performance: Proven track record of meeting commercial targets and perceived as a high performer.
• Product experience: Experience selling live events, digital products like webinars, reports, sponsorships, and exhibition booths.
• Sales knowledge: Understanding of sales techniques, styles, and training experience is a plus.
• Strategy: Experience in building and executing sales plans and contributing to business strategy.
