A commercial law firm is seeking two Commercial Litigation/Insolvency Litigation lawyers in Jersey. One role requires 1 to 4 years PQE, while the other necessitates over 5 years PQE. Candidates must be England & Wales/Commonwealth-qualified with experience in insolvency and/or commercial litigation. Business development is vital for success and applicants should be proactive in client relationship management. The roles involve advising on various contentious financial matters and supporting regulatory investigations.
Commercial law firm in Jersey is seeking to recruit two Commercial Litigation/Insolvency Litigation lawyers – one of 1 to 4 years’ PQE and the other of 5 or more years’ PQE. The team advises a varied client base including insolvency practitioners, banks and other financial institutions, global corporations, directors, shareholders and partners on contentious and non-contentious corporate recovery and insolvency matters and company and partnership disputes. They also advise commercial clients and intermediaries on all aspects of commercial litigation in Jersey, from pre-emptive injunction and disclosure applications through to substantive matters relating to enforcement and asset recovery. Clients also include trustees; enforcers and protectors; and beneficiaries on high-value trust disputes (often with cross-border elements) and representing them in a broad range of administrative and hostile proceedings before the Jersey Courts. The successful candidates will advise on a wide range of contentious financial services related matters (including trust, funds, corporate and extensive multi-jurisdictional commercial disputes and dispute resolution matters), including insolvency, private client and corporate disputes. You will also advise regulated service providers and individuals in respect of regulatory investigations and related issues, as well as contentious tax information request cases. The roles will also involve advising insolvency practitioners, creditors, directors and shareholders on contentious and non-contentious insolvency related matters.
Business Development is an important aspect of these roles and so it is expected that you will proactively assist in developing and expanding client relationships important to the Firm’s success, at the same time becoming a valued resource to clients. Applicants for both roles will be England & Wales/ Commonwealth-qualified and must have post qualification experience in insolvency and/or commercial litigation and/or trust litigation in a recognised practice.
