Commercial Gas Engineer - London & Surrounding Counties

Ideal Candidate Location: West London

Basic Salary: £55,000 - £58,000

Mon-Fri, 40-hour week + 10 hours allocated for travel (anything additional paid as overtime)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer / Combustion Engineer to join one of the UK's leading building services providers, working across West London and the surrounding Home Counties.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience working on commercial and industrial gas systems, with a solid background in planned and reactive maintenance, excellent fault-finding skills, and the relevant commercial gas qualifications.

The role will involve working across a variety of commercial sites, delivering high-quality maintenance, service and compliance work on a mobile basis.

Duties
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance on commercial and industrial gas equipment.
  • Respond to emergency call-outs as part of the duty rota and ensure reactive issues are attended within agreed SLAs.
  • Complete accurate daily/weekly reports, timesheets and required documentation.
  • Deliver excellent customer service while ensuring compliance with all safety legislation and industry standards.
  • Work independently or as part of a wider engineering team across multiple commercial sites.
  • Ensure high standards of workmanship and represent the company professionally at all times.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
  • Full UK clean driving licence
  • Domestic Gas Safety: CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, DAH1, CPA1, CONGLP1
  • Commercial Heating & Pipework: COCN1, CODNCO1, CDGA1, CIGA1, CORT1, ICPN1, TPCP1, BMP1
  • Commercial Catering Equipment: CCCN1, CODC1, COCAT1, COMCAT1, COMCAT3, COMCAT5
  • Water Systems: UHW
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a mobile commercial gas service engineer
  • Strong fault diagnosis skills on commercial gas appliances
  • Good knowledge of Gas Safety Installation & Use Regulations 1998, relevant standards, and unsafe situation procedures
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Desirable
  • PASMA, MEWP, OFTEC
  • CCLNG1 (Core Commercial Laundry) & CLE1 (Commercial Laundry Equipment)
