Job Title: Commercial & Residential Property Solicitor

The Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Property Solicitor to join the firm's Newport office, with the added opportunity to broaden their experience into Residential Property work. This is a commercial-property-heavy role, ideal for a solicitor who is looking to remain focused on high-quality commercial work while developing residential conveyancing skills in a supportive environment.

You'll work alongside experienced lawyers on a varied caseload covering the sale and purchase of commercial premises, landlord and tenant matters, development work, and commercial leases, as well as assisting with residential property transactions where needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing your own caseload of commercial property matters including acquisitions, disposals, leases, and refinancing.
  • Supporting the residential property team with transactions, with training provided if needed.
  • Advising a range of clients including businesses, developers, and investors.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Assisting in business development and networking activities to support the growth of the department.
About You
  • Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience in commercial property.
  • Interest or willingness to develop skills in residential property law.
  • Strong technical knowledge and excellent client care skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Commercially minded with a proactive approach to developing client relationships.
