Job description
The Opportunity

We are seeking a Cofounding CTO with deep expertise in thermal systems, HVAC, or data-centre infrastructure to own the technology roadmap and lead the transition from late-stage prototype to global roll-out.

As CTO and cofounder, you will :

  • Own the end-to-end technology strategy and roadmap, taking the product through first commercial deployments and iterative releases
  • Lead R&D, engineering and product across :
  • Thermal systems and psychrometrics
  • Mechanical design and system packaging
  • Controls, monitoring and software integration (DCIM / BMS)

Build manufacturing and supply-chain readiness for scaled production, working with OEMs and key suppliers

Ensure compliance with relevant data-centre, safety, performance and sustainability standards.

Recruit, mentor and lead a high-performing, multi-disciplinary engineering team (mechanical, electrical, software)

Partner closely with the CEO and board on customer engagement, pilots and strategic partnerships with data centres and integrators

Act as the technical representative with customers, partners, investors, regulators and at industry events

Ideal Background
  • Deep domain expertise in one or more of :
    • Data-centre cooling / HVAC
    • Data-centre infrastructure design, operation or integration
  • Proven experience scaling hardware-led technology from prototype through :
    • Design for manufacture
    • Certification and standards compliance
    • Real-world deployment at scale
    • Experience with controls, monitoring and software integration (BMS / DCIM / SCADA or similar)
  • Comfortable operating close to research environments and IP
  • Strong leadership track record building and coaching engineering teams
  • Clear communicator, able to explain complex thermodynamics to non-technical stakeholders
