The role involves producing parts, ensuring quality through inspections, and adhering to health and safety practices. Responsibilities

  • Setting computer numerically controlled (CNC) Milling Machines.
  • Producing parts to drawing, deburring, cleaning and packaging to set procedures.
  • Ensuring excellent quality through the inspection of parts using measuring equipment.
  • Working to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintaining cleanliness of machine equipment.
  • Complying with Company Environmental and Health and Safety practices.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills

Basic CNC setting and operating experience
Experience with sliding head / star
Basic experience with measuring equipment
Working within a production / engineering environment

£36,500

Monday - Thursday / 2pm - 11.30pm

This market leading engineering company are recruiting for CNC Setter Operators to set and operate CNC Milling Machines or Star Sliding Head Machines at their site in Cheltenham. The company manufacture and supply a range of specialist products to various industries across the globe.

Main duties & responsibilities :
  • Setting computer numerically controlled (CNC) Milling Machines
  • Producing parts to drawing, deburring, cleaning and packaging to set procedures
  • Ensuring excellent quality through the inspection of parts using measuring equipment such as gauges, verniers and micrometers.
  • Working to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), production rates, workplace organisation, front line operator asset care (FLOAC), maintenance and cleanliness of machine equipment.
  • Understanding and complying with Company Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) practices, identifying areas for improvement and supporting related initiatives
  • Engaging, suggesting and contribution to continuous improvement initiatives and projects as required
Skills / Experience :
  • Basic CNC setting and operating experience
  • Experience with sliding head / star (beneficial)
  • Basic experience with measuring equipment
  • Working within a production / engineering environment
