Job description

Activus Recruitment is delighted to work with a welding, fabrication, and machining specialist to build hard-wearing components used in extreme environments to top surface bracketry and frames.

We seek a skilled CNC machinist to join their team in Methlick.

Role and Responsibilities

Key duties

1. Set and operate a range of CNC Machines (Lynx, DNM & Puma)
2. Create and edit programs at the machine
3. Carrying out dimensional and visual checks using appropriate measuring equipment
4. Be competent in reading and interpreting technical drawings
5. Cleaning and basic maintenance of machinery
6. Adhere to safety policies and procedures
7. General housekeeping
8. Must have a good eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and precision

Experience

1. Several years CNC machining experience.
2. Conversant with setting & operating CNC mills & lathes
3. Ability to confidently set and operate CNC mills & lathes
4. Proven self-inspection skills
5. Familiar with a range of materials (Aluminium, steel, stainless steels & super alloys)

Qualifications / Training

1. Technical / Mechanical qualification preferred but not essential
