Job description

We are looking to hire a Senior CNC Machinist to join our machine shop in Methlick, Aberdeenshire.

Key duties

1. Interpret client specifications and input them into the CNC machine.
2. Set up and monitor the machine to ensure the delivery of quality, precision-made parts.
3. Optimize machining processes for consistent quality and productivity.
4. Supervise and coordinate activities within the machine shop.
5. Operate computer-controlled machines to cut, make, and manufacture precision parts.
6. Load and unload materials, and set up CNC machines.
7. Assist in quality control of parts and manage stock control.
8. Ensure adherence to operating policies and procedures.
9. Perform basic servicing and maintenance of equipment.
10. Maintain general housekeeping in the workshop.

Experience

• Previous experience operating CNC machinery.
• Strong leadership experience in a similar environment.

Qualifications / Training

• Recognized apprenticeship or training program in a technical discipline preferred.
