Located in our Machine Shop at NOV Process and Flow Control, Montrose, reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for programming and operating CNC machines.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Manufacture components according to standards and procedures set by NOV and its customers.
  2. Report any defects in materials, components, or equipment to the Production Manager as per company procedures.
  3. Liaise with the Production Manager regarding customer, project, or other issues.
  4. Report Environmental and Health & Safety issues as they arise.
  5. Ensure all drawings, procedures, and instructions are up-to-date before starting work.
  6. Verify that gauges and gauge procedures are correct and current before use.
  7. Assist Project Engineers in selecting tooling and capital equipment.
  8. Participate in Environmental and Health & Safety initiatives.
  9. Contribute to risk assessments when required.
  10. Support the proposal and implementation of new machining techniques or machines to enhance productivity or safety.
  11. Comply with all HSE Legislation and Company Policies.
  12. Support other departments and perform additional duties as reasonably required by the Line Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent CNC machine experience.
EXPERIENCE
  • Experience with Premium Threading.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Practical experience with CNC or manual machines.
SKILLS, TRAINING & SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE
  • Proficiency in using CNC machine tools.
  • Programming skills for CNC machines.
  • Ability to use inspection equipment and specialized premium thread gauges.
  • Understanding of manufacturing methods.
  • Skills in planning machining processes.
  • Effective use of lifting equipment.
  • Knowledge of Environment and Health & Safety standards.
  • Understanding of engineering drawings, terminologies, machine tooling, and methods.
