Job description

A long-established precision engineering company based in Aberdeenshire are currently seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with experience operating Mazak machines. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking business that delivers high-quality engineering solutions across a variety of demanding industries including energy, subsea, and renewables.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Setting up, programme (where required), and operate CNC machines – primarily Mazak with Mazatrol controls.
  • Producing high-precision components from technical engineering drawings to exacting tolerances.
  • Conducting in-process inspection using standard measurement tools to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Working efficiently to meet production deadlines while maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Carrying out routine machine maintenance and report any issues promptly.

Applicants to this role require

  • Proven experience operating Mazak CNC machines (turning and/or milling).
  • Strong working knowledge of Mazatrol programming.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Experience working in a small-batch, high-precision engineering environment is preferred.
  • A proactive and reliable attitude with a willingness to contribute to a close-knit team.
