About the Role - Whittaker Engineering Ltd have fantastic opportunities for a skilled CNC machinist (Horizontal Borer) to join our dynamic Machining department at our Stonehaven facility. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work with advanced machinery and be a key player in delivering high quality, precision products.

Responsibilities

1. Safely and accurately operate CNC machinery for drilling, boring, and milling tasks.
2. Ensure the maintenance and cleanliness of machinery and consumables in respect of manufacturer recommendations to ensure fitness for purpose and accuracy.
3. Uphold and maintain the Quality Assurance System, ensuring proper materials traceability.
4. Work safely and adhere to all health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
5. Work closely with team members across departments to ensure client requirements are met.

Qualifications & Skills

Essential:

1. Time-served (Modern Apprenticeship or equivalent).
2. Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with Fanuc (setting, operating, and programming).
3. Experience with Horizontal Boring.
4. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings.

Desirable:

1. Experience working with a variety of machine tools.
2. Ability to program CNC machines from scratch.
3. 5+ years' relevant experience in the Oil & Gas sector.
