JD Gyms, a division of JD Sports Fashion PLC, is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support daily club operations. You will work with the General Manager to uphold safety, standards and member experience while developing staff and driving membership and commercial targets.

In this role, you will lead a team of Fitness Coaches and General Assistants, conduct regular meetings and ensure high standards of cleanliness and service across the facility.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and developing colleagues in leisure, fitness or customer-facing roles.
• Strong commitment to delivering excellent member service.
• Ability to coach and develop colleagues.
• Qualified to Level 2 Gym Instructor or higher.
• Experience contributing to membership growth and commercial targets; recruits and manages a team.

Responsabilités

• Ensure policies and procedures are followed (Health & Safety Employee Policy and Company Procedures Handbook).
• Maintain JD Gyms Brand Standard.
• Conduct safety checks daily/ weekly/ monthly; report defects to keep facilities safe.
• Recruit and manage a team of Fitness Coaches and General Assistants to cover daily operations.
• Hold regular team meetings to aid development and keep staff updated.
• Support achievement of membership, revenue and commercial targets.
• Drive and maximise secondary spending revenue.
• Ensure cleanliness standards across the gym and with cleaners.
• Oversee weekly banking to minimise wastage and maximise profit.
• Maintain uniform standards across the team.
• Deliver outstanding member service through positive interactions.
• Foster a positive, supportive working environment and embody JD Gyms values.
