Job summary

JD Gyms Derby is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the day-to-day running of the club. You will work alongside the General Manager to uphold high standards, drive membership, and deliver exceptional member experiences.

Lead a team of Fitness Coaches and General Assistants, ensure safety and cleanliness, and promote JD Gyms values in every interaction with members and staff. This role is ideal for an energetic leader in a fast-growing gym chain.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and developing colleagues in leisure or customer-focused environments.
• Strong commitment to delivering excellent member service.
• Ability to coach, develop and motivate teams.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and manage Fitness Coaches and General Assistants to cover daily operations.
• Help achieve membership, revenue and commercial targets.
• Maintain brand standards and safety checks across the club.
• Deliver outstanding member service through professional interactions.
