Job summary

JD Gyms is expanding across the UK and seeking an Assistant General Manager to support day-to-day club operations. You will work with the General Manager to uphold high standards, lead and develop the team, and contribute to achieving membership and commercial targets.

You will recruit and manage Fitness Coaches and General Assistants, drive revenue, ensure health and safety compliance, and maintain club cleanliness while delivering exceptional member experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and developing colleagues within leisure, fitness, hospitality or customer-focused environment.
• Strong commitment to delivering excellent member service and effective leadership.
• Experience contributing to membership growth and achieving business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Health and Safety and Company Procedures Handbook.
• Recruit, coach and manage Fitness Coaches and General Assistants.
• Lead regular team meetings and staff development.
• Drive membership, revenue and commercial targets.
• Maximise secondary spending revenue.
• Maintain highest cleanliness standards across the facility.
• Oversee weekly banking to minimise wastage and maximise profit.
• Ensure uniform standards across all staff.
• Deliver outstanding member service and positive interactions.
• Support a positive, engaging working environment and represent JD Gyms values.
