Job summary

JD Gyms in the United Kingdom is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the day‑to‑day operation of the club. You will work with the General Manager to uphold standards, develop colleagues and drive membership and commercial targets.

You will lead a team of Fitness Coaches and General Assistants, ensure safety and cleanliness, and champion the JD Gyms brand in daily interactions with members and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in leisure or customer‑focussed settings.
• Strong commitment to delivering excellent member service.
• Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification or higher.
• Experience contributing to membership growth and local marketing.
• Experience recruiting and managing a successful team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies and company procedures.
• Maintain JD Gyms Brand Standard and high operational standards.
• Recruit and manage Fitness Coaches and General Assistants to cover daily needs.
• Hold regular team meetings to aid development and alignment.
• Drive membership, revenue and commercial targets; maximise secondary spend.
• Oversee weekly banking to minimise wastage and maximise profit.
• Deliver outstanding member service through positive, professional interactions.
• Represent JD Gyms values in all member and colleague interactions.
