Job summary

JD Gyms is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support daily club operations, lead a team of Fitness Coaches and General Assistants, and drive member satisfaction and commercial performance. You will work closely with the General Manager to uphold brand standards, deliver exceptional service, and create a safe, welcoming environment across the club.

Experience in leisure, fitness, or hospitality, plus Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification, is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in leisure, fitness, hospitality or customer-focused settings.
• Strong focus on member service with the ability to coach and develop colleagues.
• Qualified to at least Level 2 Gym Instructor.

Responsibilities

• Ensure policies and procedures are followed and brand standards are maintained.
• Recruit, manage and develop Fitness Coaches and General Assistants to cover daily operations.
• Hold regular meetings to aid development and communicate updates.
• Support achievement of membership, revenue and commercial targets.
• Drive secondary spending revenue and ensure cleanliness and safety standards.
• Deliver outstanding member service through positive professional interactions.
