Job description

An exciting opportunity for an EPR Clinical Systems Support Lead has opened within the Clinical Systems Team at UHCW. The post holder will assist fellow EPR Workflow Leads with system support within the remit of the Clinical Systems Team.

The role is on‑site and includes an on‑call rota. It involves management of EPR accounts, data collection workbooks and providing support to service users.

Responsibilities
  • Management and creation of EPR accounts and related applications.
  • Management of appropriate Data Collection Workbooks.
  • Providing a support service to users of systems.
  • Line management and support to the EPR System Support Analysts.
  • Providing timely and accurate access to systems.
  • Developing and maintaining key documentation to support processes.
  • Support cascade training.
  • Assist in the development of policies and procedures relating to the systems.
  • Perform periodic audits of data to ensure compliance with the NHS Data Manual.
  • Undertake testing of new releases.
  • Create and manage accounts for new users, deactivate accounts for leavers.
  • Allocate appropriate level of system access in accordance with the ICT Security Policy.
  • Work closely with the EPR Workflow Leads and ICT Training Department to ensure training materials accurately reflect Trust requirements.
  • Assist with routine change management, e.g., Oracle patching schedule.
  • Provide cross‑cover for all applications managed by the Clinical Systems Team.
  • Coordinate with operational groups about changes to working practices.
  • Attend user group meetings on behalf of the EPR Workflow Leads.
  • Identify persistent callers/issues and resolve them.
  • Assist with recruitment, induction, appraisal and development of staff under this role.
  • Provide system support out of hours and cover absences.
  • Support and engage in projects for system enhancement.
