Clinical Support Worker - Bexhill Irvine Unit

An opportunity has arisen for suitably qualified Clinical Support Workers to work at Bexhill Irvine Unit. A minimum of GCSE English and Maths grade C or 4 or Functional skills for English/Maths and NVQ2 in health and social care or the equivalent experience is essential.

The ESHT Rehabilitation strategy is focused on improving the quality and performance of our acute and community services to deliver high quality rehabilitation across East Sussex. Main duties of the job

As a vital member of the care team, you will support Registered Practitioners in the delivery of routine patient care. You will undertake a broad range of care activities under the direct supervision of a Registered Practitioner.

You will be required to work flexibly which will include weekends, evenings and bank holidays.

The post holder will need to attend a period of induction and training before commencing in the role.

Qualifications
  • GCSE English and Maths grade C or 4 or Functional skills for English/Maths
  • Care Certificate
  • 5 GCSE grade 4 or C and above or equivalent
  • Evidence of mandatory and statutory essential training skills, for example, Basic Life Support, manual handling, infection control, fire, etc.
  • Education and training to NVQ level 3/Work based diploma or equivalent
Experience
  • Minimum 6 months current experience in Health or Social Care Environment delivering personal care
  • Three months (within the last two years) experience of working in NHS
Knowledge/Skills
  • Ability to demonstrate a clear desire to work in NHS and a clear understanding of the role of a HCA
  • Ability to work under instruction from a Registered Practitioner with direct supervision and support
