We are recruiting for a Clinical Radiology Department Assistant (RDA) who share our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
The post is based at the Lister Hospital and will include a rotation to all sites within the Trust (except Mount Vernon).

All mandatory training will be provided and there will be opportunities to broaden your skills through in‑house training.
The department houses state‑of‑the‑art CT scanners, 2 3T and a 1.5T MR scanner, 16 ultrasound rooms, fluoroscopy, DEXA, nuclear medicine, angiography and general radiology units.

The post holder will prepare treatment areas at the beginning of clinical imaging sessions and prepare equipment relevant to the examination being undertaken.
You will support radiographic staff in a range of diagnostic procedures and examinations. Patients may present with conditions that may include the unconscious, uncooperative, incompetent or may have mental and physical disabilities.
The successful candidate will assist in special investigations and intervention procedures, perform patient monitoring and have a working knowledge of specialised equipment.
You will explain examination procedures to the patient and give reassurance.
You’ll also assist consultant radiologists during specialised procedures which involve preparation of sterile trolleys using aseptic techniques, specimen slide preparation and accurate completion of documentation.
