Job description
Overview

Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join the Bath and North East Somerset (BANES) Mental Health Support Team (MHST) on a part-time basis. Work within a team delivering Low Intensity CBT for mild/moderate anxiety and low mood, as well as a whole school approach. Offer 1:1 therapy for CYP with moderate mental health needs that exceed Low Intensity CBT and provide clinical skills and case management supervision to colleagues trained in Low Intensity CBT. Enrol on the one year part time postgraduate supervisors course if you do not currently possess a post graduate certificate in supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Clinical Psychology Lead, Senior Wellbeing Practitioners, Supervisors and Child Wellbeing Practitioners to assess, formulate, plan and deliver evidence based treatment for a wide variety of mental health presentations with varying complexity.
  • Deliver supervision to Senior Wellbeing Practitioners and Supervisors (training will be provided if you do not hold a current qualification).
  • Support the team with service delivery initiatives and projects where appropriate.

  • Postgraduate training in clinical or counselling psychology.
  • Experience working with children, young people and families with mental health difficulties, preferably in a school or community setting.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Personable, enthusiastic and resourceful, able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
