Overview

We are seeking an experienced clinician to join our team as a Clinical Nurse Educator – Mental Health. This is a multi‑faceted role where you will be delivering education within the specialty of mental health to our staff at Mitcham Private Hospital, working across all shift types and contributing to hospital‑wide education and the strategic plan of the Hospital Education Department.

You will be required to:

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based training and support to the staff in all hospital specialties where required.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate learning and development programmes across the facility.
  • Provide valuable contributions to the hospital’s quality improvement process.
  • Report to the Staff Development Coordinator and perform duties with the support and guidance of the Department Manager to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the care values and strategic direction of the Hospital and Ramsay Health Care.

You will be a trained nurse with exceptional customer service, confident communication, and strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications
  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum 5 years postgraduate experience within a hospital setting.
  • Demonstrated previous experience within a mental health specialty.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is desirable.
  • Proven ability to always act as a positive role model and as a professional.
  • Team‑leading experience.
  • Excellent time‑management skills and well‑developed clinical problem‑solving skills.
  • A passion for mentoring junior team members and positively influencing their performance.
  • Provide or complete a National Police Check (conducted within the last 12 months).
  • According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working‑With‑Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
