A leading healthcare institution in London seeks a Clinical Fellow in Proton Beam Therapy. Overview

Clinical Fellow in Proton Beam at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH).

The closing date is 05 October 2025.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at UCLH to join the Proton Beam Therapy Team from April 2026 as a Clinical Fellow.

Main duties of the job

Clinical duties will involve attending outpatient clinics, multidisciplinary team meetings and PBT planning meetings. The successful candidate will have a unique training opportunity to follow patients through their PBT treatment course. They will be involved with initial patient assessment, radiotherapy pre-assessment and planning, reviewing patients on-treatment and robust collection of clinical outcomes. They will gain dedicated experience in the management of patients receiving PBT and learn about the clinical differences between PBT and photon treatments.

Person Specification
Knowledge and Qualifications
  • Membership of the Royal College of Physicians or equivalent
  • GMC Registration: NB: Non-UK trained doctors must be on the GMC register by date of appointment
  • Knowledge of the Clinical Governance framework of the NHS (including Research governance) and understanding of current changes in the organisation and management structures of the NHS. Ability to act within these parameters
  • Completed core medial training or equivalent

Experience
  • Experience in clinical oncology
