Clinical Fellow in Anaesthesia and Critical Care

New post for TWO clinical fellows in Anaesthesia, Critical Care in Snowdonia, North Wales

Ysbyty Gwynedd Anaesthetic department is looking to recruit doctors in Anaesthesia and Critical care to join our team of trainees, specialty doctors and other clinical fellows working on our resident/on call rotas.

Main duties of the job

This is a full time post with out of hour's commitments. The job plan is negotiable, depending on individual's interests and service requirements.

As an example a typical job plan will include:

On-call commitment in anaesthesia/critical care/obstetrics depending on the candidates competencies

Daytime clinical work including anaesthesia/critical care/obstetrics depending on the candidates competencies

Professional development and teaching built in to each of the above.

The appointment is subject to the national Medical and Dental Terms and Conditions of service. On-call rota will be 1 in 8.

Skills and abilities
  • Has achieved appropriate level of core competencies
  • Completion of Foundation Program
  • ITU and obstetric anaesthesia experience
  • Experience in paediatric anaesthesia
Experience
  • At least 2 years post-graduate experience.
  • Evidence of interest in Quality Improvement
  • At least six-months anaesthetic experience in a training post
  • Anaesthetic experience in a broad range of specialities.
  • Evidence of research relevant to Anaesthesia
