Job description
Senior Clinical Fellow – Obstetrics & Gynaecology

We are seeking a Senior Clinical Fellow (ST5 equivalent) to join our dynamic team of speciality trainees. The successful fellow will work on the Registrar rota, covering daytime duties and resident on‑call commitments.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical care for women with urogynaecology conditions, including assessment, investigation and management.
  • Perform a wide range of vaginal prolapse and incontinence surgery, developing surgical proficiency.
  • Become proficient in urodynamic studies and the management of all urogynaecology conditions.
  • Participate in the department’s research and training projects, integrating research activity into clinical practice.
  • Collaborate closely with senior clinicians, trainees and multidisciplinary team members.
Qualifications & Essential Requirements
  • GMC registration.
  • Articulated experience equivalent to ST5 in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
  • Strong interest in urogynaecology and related surgical procedures.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
  • Successful completion of a DBS check (Enhanced if the role involves working with children or vulnerable adults).
Workload & Training

The post includes daytime registrar duties and resident on‑call commitments, with a strong emphasis on developing surgical and urogynaecological expertise within a high‑acuity district general hospital setting.

Salary

For applicants without prior NHS experience at the same pay band or higher, the salary will start at the lower value within the advertised range.
