Client New Business Development Manager (New Business Technology Recruitment)

Location : Manchester, Leeds or Birmingham

Salary : £60,000 £90,000 base + uncapped commission

Our client is a high‑calibre player in Technology and Professional Services Recruitment and part of a larger independent Recruitment Group. The group specialises in interim, change management and leadership talent across six continents particularly in technology, digital transformation and emerging leader markets.

They are currently a lean team of 10, 3 x Business Development (in Retail and FS Recruitment), 3 highly experienced delivery consultants and 3 admin support. This means you will be operating in a high‑visibility, high‑impact role where your hustle directly drives results.

The role

You're an experienced Recruitment BD professional (or senior IT executive‑search recruiter), with a strong existing network (international is a plus) and a track record of delivering new business in technology recruitment (interim and perm). The delivery team is already established you will focus on the growth side.

Key responsibilities
  • Prospect, target and win new client accounts in tech (business change, transformation, IT) on both interim and ad‑hoc permanent mandates.
  • Leverage your own network and build new relationships internationally.
  • Be the front‑end owner of the book : lead client discussions, shape propositions, negotiate commercial terms.
  • Collaborate with delivery team to ensure smooth hand‑over of mandates and maximise fee conversion.
  • Optionally : For candidates with deeper executive search experience (£100k+ assignments), lead senior IT exec search mandates internationally.
Experience Required
  • Minimum of 3-5 years BD experience in technology recruitment (interim or perm) or senior IT executive search.
  • Proven ability to generate and close new client logos, preferably internationally.
  • Deep network in tech / business change / transformation.
  • Comfortable working in a compact team, entrepreneurial environment : you make the new business happen.
  • Self‑starter, resilient, commercially focused with big‑ambition earnings mindset.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
Salary & Benefits
  • Base salary : £60,000 to £90,000 (dependent on experience).
  • Uncapped commission
