Job summary

Medivet Gravesend is a busy first opinion practice looking for a friendly veterinary receptionist to join our team in Gravesend. You’ll greet clients, update records, and support a calm, efficient service.

The role involves managing the diary, coordinating online bookings, handling phone queries and prescribing support, with weekend rota and some Bank Holiday cover at our 24-hour Medivet Dartford Hospital. You’ll be part of a supportive, collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Previous reception experience in a busy service setting.
• Excellent client-facing skills and calm under pressure.
• Proficient numeracy and ability to use online booking systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reception duties, greet clients, and update records.
• Triage emergencies and manage the diary to optimise appointment availability.
• Answer phone calls and manage messages, ensuring online bookings are available.
• Process repeat prescription orders and work collaboratively with the team.
• Participate in a 1 in 4 weekend rotation and bank holiday cover at Dartford Hospital.
