Job summary

Medivet is seeking a Client Care Assistant to be the first point of contact for clients, delivering exceptional care and handling reception duties. You’ll join a friendly team and support clients, patients and colleagues in a busy veterinary practice.

The role emphasises excellent client-facing service, numeracy skills, and familiarity with online appointment bookings. Previous veterinary receptionist experience is desirable, with a 1-in-5 Saturday rota.

Qualifications

• Experience with online appointment booking systems.
• Previous veterinary receptionist experience desirable.
• Ability to prioritise and stay calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reception duties, greet clients on arrival and update records.
• Triage emergency appointments and contact clients as needed.
• Manage the practice diary to optimise appointment availability.
• Answer client calls and manage messages.
• Ensure online booking slots are available for clients.
• Process repeat prescription orders.
• Work collaboratively within a supportive team.
• Support clients and patients on Saturdays on a 1-in-5 rota.
