Job Introduction

At Sodexo, we believe a clean, safe school makes a real difference to pupils, staff and visitors. We are looking for a Cleaning Supervisor to lead the evening cleaning service at Churcher’s College Junior School, playing a key role in maintaining a welcoming and well cared for environment.

This is a practical, hands on role where you will work alongside your team, support day to day operations and act as a trusted presence on site each evening. You will be responsible for making sure cleaning standards are consistently met, the school is secured at the end of the day and communication with the management team runs smoothly.

What You’ll Do
  • Supervise and support a small evening cleaning team, leading by example and keeping standards high
  • Carry out cleaning duties in line with agreed schedules, ensuring the school is clean, safe and ready for the next day
  • Communicate daily with the Assistant Cleaning and Caretaking Manager and Contract Manager
  • Lock and secure the school each evening and liaise with the alarm company when required
  • Ensure all safeguarding, health, safety, fire and COSHH requirements are followed and recorded
  • Build positive working relationships with colleagues, school staff and pupils, always representing Sodexo professionally

You may also be asked to support occasional events, attend meetings or travel to the Senior School on an ad hoc basis.

What You Bring
  • Previous supervisory or team leading experience, ideally within cleaning or facilities services
  • Well organised with good time management skills
  • Reliable, self motivated and comfortable taking responsibility
  • Able to work confidently on your own and as part of a team
  • Calm under pressure with a positive, can do approach
  • Willing to learn, develop and take part in training as required

Working at Sodexo means being part of a supportive team that values respect, development and high standards. You will have the opportunity to grow your skills, make a visible difference in a school setting and enjoy a role with genuine purpose.

If you enjoy leading a team, keeping environments at their best and working in a school community, we would be delighted to hear from you.

What we offer

Working with Sodexo isn’t just another job but a chance to be part of something that matters. Here, you’re welcomed for who you are, encouraged to bring your ideas and purpose to the table, and given the opportunity to make a real difference in the work you do every day. You’ll also find the support, flexibility, and room you need to grow in a way that feels right for you.

With over 20 Sodexo benefits to choose from, you’ll have access to a competitive retirement plan, discounts at 1,900+ retail brands, great gym offers, and a confidential 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme for emotional, legal, and financial support.
