About the Role

Glyndebourne Opera House, set in the beautiful Sussex countryside, is one of the world's most iconic cultural venues, renowned for its opera, elegant dining, and famous summer picnics. Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness across the site is essential to delivering an exceptional guest experience.

We are recruiting Cleaners to join our team for the Summer Opera Festival, running from May to August 2026. This is a casual position, with hours varying week to week based on business needs. During the Festival we operate seven days a week, so flexibility is essential, including weekend and early morning or evening shifts.

The role includes cleaning front‑of‑house areas, restaurants, bars and staff areas, ensuring all areas are kept clean, safe and well‑presented at all times. You will work as part of a supportive team to maintain the high standards expected at a world‑class cultural venue.

We are looking for reliable, hardworking individuals with a strong attention to detail and a positive, can‑do attitude. Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided. You will be able to work efficiently, follow cleaning procedures, and take pride in your work.
