Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking HGV Class 2 drivers to work in Darlington, delivering furniture directly to customers. The Best Connection are currently seeking to recruit HGV Class 2 (LGV C) drivers to work with our client based in Darlington. Our client specialises in the delivery of furniture to customers, with handballing involved but a drivers mate is able to assist

The Role:

• Multi-drop Class 2 driving, delivering furniture directly to customers
• Handballing and manual handling of furniture involved with a drivers mate
• Efficient and accurate deliveries on scheduled routes
• This is a customer-facing role, so a friendly and professional attitude is essential - you will be representing both our client and The Best Connection

The Candidate:

• Valid and in-date Cat C driving licence, CPC card, and Digital Tachograph card
• Minimum 12 months Class 2 driving experience required
• Positive attitude towards customer service
• Ability to handle manual lifting/handballing safely

Hours of Work:

• Ongoing bookings with a 4 on 2 off, 4 on 2 off, 5 on 2 off rota
• Training week provided

Pay Rates (PAYE):

• £16.76 per hour weekdays
• £17.76 per hour weekends
