Responsibilities
  • The Civils Engineering Manager is responsible for the civil engineering package of works for a given project, including responsibility for budget, programme, and safety.
  • Lead from end-to-end on a broad range of projects within a highly technical environment and support the development of peers.
  • Work within a multi-discipline environment and be responsible for delivery of the engineering design.
  • Be comfortable making engineering-based decisions with significant impact on engineering risk on large-scale projects.
  • Be based in our Epsom office and play a key part in maintaining and enhancing our track record and reputation for top quality engineering and delivery.
  • Become part of an integrated multi-disciplined team shaping the future of the Energy industry by delivering world-class projects. Involvement in Sizewell C, Small Modular Reactors, Hinkley Point C and UKAEA projects is beneficial.
  • Promote adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic environment while balancing inclusivity and well-being.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients across offices and sites to ensure a collaborative approach.
Qualifications
  • Chartered engineer with demonstrable technical knowledge and experience within civil and structural engineering design and construction.
  • Experience working and delivering within a multi-discipline environment and responsible for delivery of the engineering design.
  • Experience working on large-scale projects and comfortable making engineering-based decisions with significant impact on engineering risk.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a firm grasp of the context and implications of engineering activities and decisions.
  • Varying degrees of relevant experience and skillsets will be considered for the role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; innovative mindset, flexible approach, and ability to deliver high-quality work in a demanding environment.
  • Mobility and agile working between offices and client sites is encouraged.
  • Knowledge and experience of developing and managing safety cases would be welcomed but not required.
