Job summary

LA International Computer Consultants Ltd is seeking a Cisco Voice SME to join a major project in Glasgow. The role involves planning, installing and supporting voice infrastructure for a new office tower, including CUCM 12.x, IP endpoints, Jabber, and related voice technologies.

The position requires availability for weekends during installation phases and ongoing support after go-live. We welcome a candidate with at least five years in enterprise voice, CCNP Collaboration knowledge, and strong

Qualifications

• Five+ years enterprise voice experience is required.
• Strong CUCM and Cisco Voice knowledge with Jaber/ Jabber mobile familiarity.
• CCNP Collaboration welcome; ability to lead incidents and changes.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and install voice infrastructure for office projects.
• Support global voice infrastructure including incident, problem and change management.
• Lead on-site voice/data hardware setup and cabling for new office tower.
• Provide Level 3 troubleshooting and mentor L1/L2 teams.
• Create technical documentation and participate in deployments acceptance.

12 Month contract initially + Extensions

Based: 3 Days p/w onsite in Glasgow

Rate: £Market rates p/d - (via Umbrella company)

We are seeking an experienced L3 Voice Operations Engineer to play a critical role in the planning, coordination, and installation of technology infrastructure that will enhance both employee and client experiences. This position will be directly involved in the construction and renovation of a new office tower, with responsibilities including the installation and integration of voice and data hardware, as well as associated cabling. The role encompasses participating in the planning and execution of installations, overseeing migrations, providing support on the first day of business operations, and delivering ongoing technical assistance for telephony services. Candidates must be available to work weekends as required for project phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Experience with branch office construction, renovations, and relocations, as well as corporate real estate projects
• Support of global voice infrastructure, including incident, problem, and change management
• Expertise in Cisco Unified Call Manager (CUCM) version 12.x or later, including IP endpoints, Cisco Jabber, and Jabber Mobile
• Extensive knowledge of voice technologies, including packetized voice and related protocols such as SIP, MGCP, and ISDN, as well as session management and call routing
• A minimum of five years working with enterprise voice and data systems
• CCNP Collaboration-level knowledge of Cisco technologies (certification preferred but not required)
• Level 3 troubleshooting, analysis, and remediation capabilities
• Support for Level 1 and Level 2 teams through incident escalations
• Ability to communicate effectively with business units during projects and incident response
• Participation in operational acceptance of new deployments and creation of technical documentation for the as-built environment
• Experience tracking work activities in the ServiceNow ticketing system
• Participation in vendor management and governance processes
