Job summary

IMT Resourcing Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Network & Voice Engineer for a 6-month contract to support enterprise voice and network infrastructure. The role focuses on CUCM administration, Microsoft Teams Phone and VoIP integration, with emphasis on Direct Routing and SBCs.

You will troubleshoot complex voice and network issues, integrate Cisco voice with Teams, and ensure QoS and reliability in an enterprise environment. Initial 6-month term and immediate availability preferred.

Network & Voice Engineer - Contract

Day Rate: Up to £450 per day (Outside IR35)

Duration: 6 Months

Location: TBC

Start Date: ASAP

We are looking for an experienced Network & Voice Engineer to support a business with its network infrastructure and enterprise voice environment on an initial 6-month contract.

This is a hands-on technical role requiring particularly strong experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) and Microsoft Teams, supporting, troubleshooting and improving enterprise telephony and unified communications services.

You’ll need to be comfortable working independently, resolving complex technical issues and supporting the integration of traditional Cisco voice infrastructure with Microsoft Teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Support, administer and troubleshoot Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) environments.
• Manage and optimise Microsoft Teams Phone and associated voice services.
• Support voice integration between Cisco CUCM and Microsoft Teams, including Direct Routing and SBC technologies.
• Troubleshoot complex VoIP, SIP signalling, call routing and telephony issues.
• Configure and maintain Cisco voice gateways, dial plans and associated infrastructure.
• Support network connectivity, routing, switching and QoS to maintain voice service performance.
• Investigate and resolve incidents affecting voice quality, availability and connectivity.Work with infrastructure and network teams to deliver improvements and maintain service stability.

Essential Experience

• Strong hands-on Cisco CUCM experience - administration, configuration, troubleshooting and support.
• Strong Microsoft Teams Phone experience - including enterprise telephony, voice configuration and troubleshooting.
• Experience integrating Cisco voice environments with Microsoft Teams.
• Solid understanding of SIP, VoIP, SBCs, PSTN connectivity and call routing.
• Experience supporting Cisco networking technologies, including routing, switching and QoS.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex voice and network issues within enterprise environments.
• Comfortable working independently in a contract environment.

Desirable Experience

• Cisco Unity Connection, CUBE and Cisco voice gateways.
• Microsoft Teams Direct Routing and Operator Connect.
• Experience with voice migrations or unified communications transformation projects.
• Cisco certifications such as CCNP Collaboration.
