Job summary

Hamilton Barnes is seeking a Cisco Voice SME (L3 Voice Operations Engineer) for a 12-month contract in Glasgow on a hybrid basis (3 days onsite). You will plan, install and migrate enterprise voice and data infrastructure for a new office build, and provide L3 support when live.

The role requires strong CUCM expertise (12.x+), IP endpoints, Jabber, SIP/MGCP/ISDN, and CCNP Collaboration-level knowledge; Bachelor's preferred, with some Friday/Saturday hours during installation phases.

Qualifications

Strong Cisco Unified Call Manager (CUCM) expertise, version 12.x or later.
Hands-on experience with contact centre voice and Jabber/MRA.
Deep knowledge of voice technologies, SIP/MGCP/ISDN, and call routing.
Minimum 5 years working with enterprise voice and data systems; CCNP Collaboration preferred.

Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate and install voice and data hardware and cabling for office projects.
Oversee migrations and support first-day operations in the new environment.
Provide L3 troubleshooting, analysis and remediation for global voice infrastructure.
Support L1/L2 teams during incidents and keep business units informed.
Participate in operational acceptance, produce as-built docs, and support vendor governance.
