About the Role

You'll start life as a Residential Support Worker (RSW) by joining our Care Academy – a 4‑week off‑the‑job training program with experienced WG professionals to help you feel confident and ready to support our young people.

Key Qualifications & Skills

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – if you don't have one, we'll pay for you to study and support you every step of the way
Responsibilities

Working in our Children's Homes means being part of a young person's day‑to‑day life. You will be there for the highest highs and lowest lows, supporting them to get their childhood back and create pathways to become well‑rounded adults. Your day will involve ensuring they are up and ready for school, helping with homework, completing paperwork, planning activities, and providing fun evenings and weekends (Xbox, football, film days, go‑karts).

Benefits
  • Salary: £29,034 – £35,400 (Full Time); £36,274 – £42,640 assuming good attendance and up to 4 sleep‑ins per month
  • Bonuses: Up to 4 sleep‑ins per month (£80 each, approx. £3,840 per year); £1,400 Attendance Allowance; £2,000 Regional Allowance; £1,000 Welcome Bonus (on successful completion of probation); £1,000 Loyalty Bonus (after 12 months)
  • Training: Full 4‑week induction on our Care Academy
  • Holiday: 7 weeks' holiday
