Salary: Up to £36,122 per year (including sleep‑ins)

Contract: Full‑time | Permanent

Shift Pattern: 2-on / 3-off (with sleep‑ins)

A leading childrens residential care provider is seeking experienced Senior Residential Care Workers to support and guide young people aged 8‑18. If you’re confident, compassionate, and ready to step into a leadership role, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

As a Senior Residential Care Worker, you will play a key role in creating a safe, structured, and nurturing environment while also supporting the Registered Manager with leadership responsibilities.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Being a positive role model for staff and young people
  • Providing direct care and support to children with complex emotional and behavioural needs
  • Leading shifts and maintaining high‑quality care standards
  • Managing routines including meals, education, and personal development
  • Completing documentation, risk assessments, and behaviour management plans
  • Supervising and mentoring staff
  • Working with external professionals such as social workers and educators
  • Ensuring compliance with safeguarding and regulatory standards
What We're Looking For
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (essential)
  • Experience in childrens residential care (essential)
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team
  • A calm, resilient, and empathetic approach
  • Full UK manual driving licence (own vehicle preferred; company vehicles provided for transporting children)
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and safeguarding best practice
